Mroost MD is roasted at high temperature and afterwards rapidly cooled when the desired colour is achieved. This malt gives the beer a darker aroma and beer colour, while also contributing a smoked/burnt flavour to dark beers. Due to the unique production methods these roasted malts are less astringent.
