Chinook hops are originally a high alpha variety that over time became more of a dual-purpose hop through the efforts of brewers. It has a strong, resinous aroma with distinct notes of pine and spice. This hop works particularly well in combination with varieties like Cascade and Centennial to create a complex, spicy profile in a variety of beer styles, including IPAs and Pale Ales.
