Challenger is a universal hop that brings a full and rounded bitterness to the beer during early boilings and produces a clear, fruity flavour with slightly sweet notes during late boilings, for example in the whirlpool. Especially in combination with Northern Brewer, Perle or Target, a rounded flavour profile is created in the beer.
