The Air Still Infusion Basket. This stainless steel basket is suitable for "infusing" alcohol with vegetable, lemon or orange peel, cinnamon sticks, chili or other flavoring ingredients. The basket is easy to attach by just clipping it in the inside of the Air Still lid. Ideal for distilling gins.
Manufacturer's note:
The Air Still has a hole underneath the lid where vapor enters the cooling hose and condenses before it comes out as liquid alcohol. We noticed that some customers find pieces of botanical material in the cooling spiral. This can cause unwanted pressure build-up in the device.
To prevent this, we recommend using the Air Still Infusion Basket:
- Use a cheese cloth, hop bag or tea bag if you use small botanical materials such as dried herbs and spices.
- Use plant material that is larger than the hole underneath the lid, i.e. larger than 1 cm in diameter.
- We do not recommend keeping the top of the Air Still upside down when placing the basket. Make sure that no plant material falls into the hole.
